Lee Prosch, CEO - Occam Technologies
Lee Prosch brings nearly two decades of experience in information technology, with a particular focus on healthcare integration and patient identity.  Lee is the CEO of Occam, an enterprise software company that solves two parts of the patient identity problem: Duplicate patient records in a single registration system, and patient records that are split across inpatient and outpatient systems.

Lee has served on the HIMSS Enterprise HIE task force, and the HIMSS Accountable Care Task force.

Leila Volinsky, MHA, MSN, RN, PCMH CCE, CPHQ - Healthcentric Advisors
Leila Volinsky is a Senior Program Administrator at Healthcentric Advisors. Ms. Volinsky has over 9 years of experience in healthcare and holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing, a Masters of Healthcare Administration and is a Patient-Centered Medical Home certified content expert (PCMH CCE) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). At Healthcentric Advisors, Ms. Volinsky is the Massachusetts state lead and regional task lead for the Quality Reporting Program – Eligible Clinicians work, spending most of her time educating and assisting clinicians and organizations as they prepare for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) or an Alternative Payment Model (APM).  She has extensive knowledge of health information technology, clinical workflows and governmental quality and process improvement programs. Ms. Volinsky works directly with practices, organizations and clinicians on various aspects of quality improvement and workflow redesign.

Over the past several years, Ms. Volinsky has worked directly with many practices, organizations and clinicians on various aspects of quality improvement and workflow redesign. Ms. Volinsky takes a wide and all-encompassing approach to information dissemination and education, through which she utilizes a train-the-trainer format, breaking down complex concepts in to manageable action steps that can be easily implemented into practice workflows. Ms. Volinsky is also a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer and Six Sigma Green Belt. Ms. Volinsky has a clinical background as a Registered Nurse, with experience in nursing informatics, medical/surgical nursing as well as outpatient wound care.

He often spends hours re-organizing steps in a process to generate consistent effective results. Some would call this Obsessive Compulsive Disorder; however, not true when it comes to securing your patient data.

Gloria K. Thorington, RN, CPHQ, CPPS - The New England QIN-QIO
Gloria Thorington is a quality consultant with the New England Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization-Qualidigm. In her consulting role, she works with acute care and critical access hospitals, home health care, and provider practices on a variety of quality improvement projects including improving cardiac health, transitions of care, patient experience, and antibiotic stewardship.

Ms. Thorington has worked for thirty+ years in quality, patient safety, compliance, patient experience, and care management. She has implemented Patient/Family Advisory Councils, TeamSTEPPS, CareMaps, CHF Disease Management, Women’s Health, CUSP, BOOST, and Palliative Care Programs in acute care. Ms. Thorington has presented nationally on multiple topics, including CareMaps, Disease Management, Quality, and BOOST-Reducing Readmissions.

Ms. Thorington was President of the NH Association for Healthcare Quality.  She also served on the Leadership Council & Strategic Planning Council for the National Association for Healthcare Quality. She was a member of the NH Quality Commission.  She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, Certified Professional in Patient Safety, a Master TeamSTEPPS trainer, and holds a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.

Georgette Verhelle, RN, BSN, CPHQ – Quality Improvement Consultant
Ms. Verhelle has more than 30 years of experience in health care and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Her varied experience has included working in hospitals, primary care, skilled nursing facilities, and home health care.

For the past six years, Georgette has worked with numerous practices, clinicians and organizations on a variety of quality improvement efforts including achieving success in the Quality Payment Program (MIPS/APMs), workflow, and as a Master Trainer for the Diabetes Self-Management Program developed by Stanford University.  Georgette is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and also holds a Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma.

Anyone who pays registration fees and cannot attend the event may send a substitute.  A 5 day notice of cancellation is required for refund.  A $25.00 cancellation fee will be retained by NHHIMA for cancellations received prior to the registration date deadline.  The entire registration fee will be retained by NHHIMA for cancellations received after the (cancellation date) registration deadline.
